Getting Started

This is the path from your first symbol page to standing in a world you wrote.

  1. Find symbol pages. Look in chests in dungeons, temples and stronghold libraries; in Small Libraries and Wizard's Towers; from Archivist villagers; and in Booster Packs.
  2. Make an Ink Vial from 2 black dye and a water bottle. See Ink and the Ink Mixer.
  3. Make link panels at the Ink Mixer, from ink and paper. A plain link panel is also sold by the Archivist.
  4. Bind a Descriptive Book at the Book Binder: leather as the cover, a link panel as the first page, then your symbol pages in order. Type a name. The book can't be made without a name and a link panel on the first page.
  5. Make a way home before you go. A Linking Book made at home brings you back (see Linking). Travelling to an age without one earns the hidden advancement Call Me Quinn.
  6. Open the Descriptive Book and click its link panel. The first link creates the age and takes you there.
