Writing Ages

What an age is

  • An age is a new dimension, created from a Descriptive Book's symbols the first time someone links through the book.
  • Each age keeps its own seed, name and authors.
  • A Descriptive Book keeps linking to the same age afterwards.
  • The book is left behind when you arrive, unless it follows its reader.

Size and shape

  • Ages are as tall as the overworld: from y -64 to 320.
  • Ground ages have a deepslate underground, with bedrock at the bottom.
  • Void ages are empty below.

The grammar

Anything a book leaves out, the grammar fills in. A book that only names a few symbols still makes a complete world, and the parts you didn't write may surprise you.

Server owners can mark symbols that appear only when written, so the grammar never adds them on its own. See Configuration.
